Polish P64

Thinking about letting my P64 go.
Just trying to find what a fair price would be.
Just a litte too "snappy" for me , and I have started shooting wheel guns again.
any ideas about a fair price would help.
Oh yeah , I am in Arizona.
Thanks

I paid right at $150 each for both of mine. In today's environment, I'm thinking around $200 to $250 would be about normal.

Stop thinking that way!

I got two of them last year for $170 each. I agree with $200 to $250. Best to keep it as an investment though. They'll only go up in price.

There are a few sources that still have them, they are running $200-$230. The reason I know this is I'm looking to get one come the first of the month. PM me if you decide to get rid of it, I'd rather buy from a fellow TFL'r.

$200 I'd say. I had one and sold it when I got a R61 Hungarian.

WOW, found one on Auction Arms for 399.00 or 425.00 buy now.

I am thinking 300.00 and that includes P-64, holster and a little over 200 rnds of ammo.

And notice how he is getting zero bids. One of the downfalls of both Auction Arms and Gunbroker is that it allows sellers to stick something on there for an obscene price hoping that a sucker will come along. If the sucker bites, the seller wins big. If the listing expires, he simply relists it without any cost.

Snappy??? I think you misspelled that. 9X18 Mak snappy? I think the propper spelling is "wimpy"
Not really, but far from hard to handle recoil.

Have you replaced the recoil spring with a 24lb one? That helps alot. changing the mainspring to 17lb wont hurt either..

Who's making 115gr hollow points? I know BB makes 115gr FP's but I don't remember seeing hollow points

New Silver Bears are 95 grn. The only 9x18 guns that could handle the 115s well were the full sized Maks and CZ-82s. The lighter 9x18s (PA-63, P-64, etc. didn't like them very well).

Agree. I think the 115 would be good in the Stechkin APS but I don't see it in the more conventional handguns including the PM and CZ82.

In reguards to springs, I replaced my recoil spring with the heaviest one available (24lb) from wolff.. it has helped tame the recoil significantly.. I would actually like to try a 26 or 27lb spring but alas.. they aren't available.

For the main/trigger spring. I replaced that with the lightest one offered by wolff, 17lb. It helps make the DA pull manageable and still had plenty of power to ignite primers.

In reguards to 115gr ammo, my p-64 likes the BB 115gr rounds just fine.. although recoil is increased the gun continues to function just fine and it's my chosen carry load.

I've never seen/tried the 115gr silver bear load though

Just don't go too light on the mainspring. There have been lots of reports about the 16lb mainspring resulting in dropped magazines (same spring controls both the hammer and the mag release).

Another factor that you should consider in pricing is magazines. The price of magazines alone are on the rise and your sale price should reflect that.

Thanks for all the input , I will be going to a Gun Show in Laughlin NV tomorrow and we will see how it goes.
I tried to find ammo for it local and no one has any at all.
I have one box of Bron Bear 94gr fmj and 3 boxes of Silver Bear 115gr hp with nickel plated cases , and 2 boxes of 16rnd Tula 100gr fmj.
Been offered 100 for just the ammo....not going to seperate.
Again , Thanks for the input.
