Liberty SXS shotgun?

I'm doing a little post-facto research here.... just acquired a 12ga SXS in a trade.

Markings are "Liberty Model 400" and "Made in Japan"

No other markings.

It seems to be a well-built gun. Any idea who in Japan built it? Was the same model sold under any other name?

Possible.

Liberty, imported beginning 1997 by K.B.I. Inc., Harrisburg Pa.

I don't see that model number.

They do an exposed hammer coach gun in 12ga with 20 and 24" barrels. New MSR $599.

They also do SxS rifles and a combo gun which uses either the shotgun or rifle barrel set.
