Oddity?

A bud of mine on another forum came up with this 12 gauge shotgun marked Hopkins & Allen. Now this is undoubtedly a new gun, not an original H&A. H&A never made a muzzleloading shotgun. I can't find anything about it on the net and I can usually find most anything. Has someone resurrected the old H&A name? If so who?

I just saw a similiar 12 ga double barrel BP shotgun yesterday in Maine made by Navy Arms. They were asking $325 and it looked unfired.

I didn't see H&A on it. It was some kind of anniversary model. Nice gun. I'd never seen one before. Next time I'm there I'll look for the Hopkins & Allen name. Heck, maybe I'll buy it so I can bring it home and look at it in better light. Really nice gun.
Probably doesn't help much, though.

Pohill I saw that gun yesterday too, it was a 1983 centennial anniversary model, very nice. Did you see that Haynes brass frame '51 Navy? I debated it for a few, but passed on it. I'm waiting on some pocket model replicas to show up.

Where was that Navy? They have what looks to be an 1862 Pocket Police in .22. It was in a wooden case.
Did you happen to see the cased 1860 .44 3rd Generation? The one with the flask, mold, tin cap, for $650. Not bad.

I saw the one you're talking about in that free standing display case. The Navy is on the left side of the revolver display, first or second tier down. That Police model is actually a single shot .22 cartridge, the cylinder is fixed. I'm not interested in that Remington .31 pocket. The brass is a turn off, even if it's only a .31, and the price is steep at 184.95.

with the exception of the h/a stamp it could pass for my old pederosolli. wood checkering ect look exact.

Turns out it is a Pedersoli. One of the first things I do when somebody wants to identify an old gun is get them to take the barrels off and look for proof marks. I didn't even think of it this time until last night. Well he took them off and it's marked Pedersoli. It appears to be a 12 gauge version of their waterfowl model but still no mention of the H&A stamp.
