UZI questions

I have just bought , but not recieved (form4 still with the ATF) an Action Arms bolt conversion UZI. I have searched on the web to try to find info about UZI's in general and have found very little. I really don't know that much about the differnt variants and who made them. Can anyone help me out? Did I buy a good one ? It looks to be in very good shape and I know the guy that I bought it from so I know it has never been abused.

Thanks
Daren

Uzi.org
Uzigalil.com (currently down)

I'm currently waiting on the form 4 for a Vector, myself. The only bad thing I can see about a registered bolt vs. a registered receiver is that you can't legally put a caliber conversion kit in a registered bolt gun.

I found UZI.org and it was helpful, but I want more information. Like who made the best conversions, who made the best guns, and just UZI history in general especially with the ones imported into the U.S.

thanks

The Uzis reworked by Vector are the best made due to having heat treated receivers from what I have been told.

This is the only UZI forum that I know of, and it's pretty dead.

Daren:
There have been several recent discussions of Uzis on the FA forum at www.subguns.com. Lots of Vector owners, but some others there too.
