Quick Detach light
I am looking for an ideal way to mount a small light to a longarm.
The light should be a 6 volt high-intensity, which both offers the power to handle emergency situations, and is legal in my home state for certain types of hunting. The light should be useable off the arm, and have a quick attachment system. From what I've seen, the M3 system looks to be my best bet, offering a "tactical illuminator" that slides onto a rail (here's one example). At about $150, it's fairly cost-effective, as well. Are there other candidates I should consider? |

One last time. Any reasonable alternatives to this: in a quick-detach? |

Universal Barrel Mount (UBM-1)
This is a product available from Cheaperthandirt.com. It may not suit your use as it requires loosening two allen head screws to detach. It is cheap however at around $15. You can mount any small flash with it. I use it with a Streamlight Scorpion.

Yeah, that's about the only other close contender I've seen, thanks.

Check out Quik2See . They have a pretty neat little mount that will accomodate a Surefire or a Scorpion. I think the url is
www.quik2see.com . They have several mounting systems(bayonet lug, mag tube etc) & are very affordable. Just my $0.02 worth...
