No.
Mine are kept action locked, empty chamber, safety on, mag full minus one round. Minus one means I can add a slug if needed quick. The rest means I can make it ready to shoot in an instant, while kids and unauthorized adults can't. |

Mine is kept what I believe is called "cruiser ready" - hammer down on an empty chamber with the mag full no safety on. pump to load, ready to fire

thanks every one, been keeping empty chamber less one in the mag. thought id ask some that knew more . thanks again. the 45 on the night stand is locked and loaded..
