using .357" handgun bullets in .35 Remington

My intentions are to use a .357" handgun bullet in my 35 remington pump rifle.
The 35 Remington is .358" so when I size my necks, the necks will be .357" which is .001" too small. The result is a loose bullet in the case. This is my idea: I install a sizer pin from a .357 die and this should size my neck to the correct size. Is this correct? Help me out!

Pistol bullets won't withstand rifle velocities; mebbe okay for plinking.

do you have some 357 mag dies? try just sizing and expanding the neck of the 35 remington cases with them. also try removing the expander out of the 35 remington dies and see if a .357 dia. bullet is tight

As a lark, I loaded .357"--125 JHP"s for my Rem-141 years ago. I loaded them into the rifle single shot for plinking. Never gave a thought to swapping out the expander plugs. Might be a worthwhile idea.

These rounds are highly explosive on water-filled 1gal. milk jugs, please don't use them for hunting anything but varmits. The pistol bullet jackets are just too thin for rifle velocities...
