For the stock---the SOPMOD is great; especially for the money.

My SOPMOP review link

For the sights---do you plan on running an optic or just irons?

Thanks for the reply and the review. I had chosen the ACS for my build, but I wanted to see what people would suggest...

My lower came in... This is one of their blemished lowers... Only thing I could find was a smudge on the mag well...

Chet, I have a Rainer BCG that runs just fine although only has fifty rounds through it. Check out their XTC muzzle break, really tames felt recoil and looks good to boot but don't stand to the side as my buddy complained of the noise and blast.

Agreed. It's extremely effective for the money.

It, in my opinion, is the best collapsible stock on the market today. Preset the extended position that fits you, and then collapse if all the way in for compactness. When you are ready to shoulder it just slide the stock back and it will stop at your preset, even if it isn't the furthest stop at the rear. Add to that the fact that they are solid as a rock and I don't know what else you could want (except maybe a lower price ).

Lower price would be great. Guess I better start saving my pennies...

plouffedaddy, didn't realize you were mrgunsngear! Your video on proper grip of a semi auto pistol really helped me!

Anyways, it's looking pretty sweet! I might build one myself so I am keeping a watch on this!

I'm going to be honest. I've shot A2 rifle stocks, and a few adjustable magpuls. Nothing even compares to my ACE rifle stock. I love the lightweight cheek wield.

They also has an adjustable "SOCOM" stock. Way sexier, but twice the price

I agree that the ACE is comfortable, and not too pricey. Heavier, but also reasonably priced and very comfortable is the MAGS EFX a1.

Added another part to the pile. The Magpul UBR is arriving tomorrow, but today my Rainier Arms Raptor Ambidextrous Charging Handle came in the mail from AIM Surplus. It is freaking ridiculous...

Magpul UBR stock came in today. Man is it sweet and solid. Although I was worried about the weight, even without the BCG or the barrel the stock felt good to shoulder. Really like the looks and feel of it. I'm not sold on the foliage green. I might dye it later to black. What say you? Here's the pics...

I agree the green looks off putting since every other aspect of the rifle will be black

The green would look ok if the lower receiver was green also.

You definitely have a great build going. If you're left-handed a Magpul B.A.D. lever would be a good investment.

That didn't take long... What do you think? Should I leave the cheek piece green?

My opinion has changed, I am a fan of the green cheek-wield.

I would like to take a moment and thank everyone on this forum for being so great and willing t share their opinions and advice on my build. I appreciate a forum that instills the properties of enabling people instead of silencing them. For supporting the individual and not the site sponsors. Thanks to the moderators for all the hard work they do walking the fine line of authority. Thank You.
