SIG P220 Elite Carry Dark

My latest SIG pistol. It's a P220 Elite Carry Dark.

Shown with my P226 for comparison.

P220's are the only 45's that I like besides a 1911.

Never been a big fan of the Carry model. Didnt really seem to solve any problems over the standard 220 for me. I do like the P245 and 220 Compact.

Front strap checkering, beavertail, thin grips, front slide serrations, and the short reset trigger do it for me. Better sights too. They are an "upgrade" over the std. model.

The Carry is a tad shorter. That's about it.

Here's my lone 220 and a couple of P245's, this pretty much rounds up my Sig .45's until I can find the Sig 1911 Im looking for..

I guess I prefer a shorter grip over a shorter barrel and thats why it doesnt appeal to me, I generally find it easier to conceal the barrel than the grip. I do need to get some of those aluminum grips though.

Thats what I was hoping for, the 226 is a little bigger in the grip than the 220 and the 220 feels optimum for my taste. Hoping I can thin it down with the aluminum grips.
