An Interesting Essay on the 2A
I read an interesting article on promoting the Second Amendment written by a young man named Aaron Barruga. I was particularly interested in the parts of his essay where he discussed that even when your rights are on paper, you will still have to fight for them. And I had some good points about how we need to reach out all the time, not just when it was the news du jour.

Good read. What he's saying goes along with what we've discussed in other threads about messaging and optics.

Good read. It does pay to come off as reasonable rather than radical when discussing firearms, the 2nd Amendment, and the RKBA. I've found that it helps when I discuss the fact that our government awarded me a top secret clearance to work on nuclear weapons systems. Why shouldn't they trust me now to own rifles and handguns? That pretty much calms the situation if I'm talking to someone who has their emotions amped up on full power.
