Fleur-de-lis

I have a grip cap (not sure if is for a rifle or a shotgun) by the large size I would say it is for a shotgun? Does anyone have any idea who used a Fleur-de-lis on their grip caps. thanks

Some maker may have used the fleur-de-lis, but it was a common decoration in custom checkering and grip caps were sold with that emblem to carry the motif through.
