Need some help identifying a part

I'm almost all set up to begin loading. I bought a lot of equipment from an older gentleman and have been cleaning it up and setting it up. But, I have a broken part. On my Lyman .45ACP die for depriming, the actual deprimer is broken off. The part unscrews from the longer, threaded stem. I took one off my 38/357 die and screwed it on the 45 die and it works fine, but I need a replacement or better yet, several replacements.
So...what is it called, a decapper stem, a decapper needle?
Can I buy a box of them as I can easily see they can break off and I'd like to have replacements on hand?
Are there different sizes for different calibers?

Other than this, I'm about ready.

Thanks,
Major

I think you're talking about the decapping pin. Call the manufacturer and they can usually fix you up. RCBS has sent me free parts in the past. You should probably get a few extras. Used military brass can cause problems. I accidentally got a berdan primed 9mm case the other day.

I agree, replacement decaping pins are quite common. I'd like to have some bucks for every one I have broken in the past 45 years. For the most part the decapping stems are pretty generic in size whithin a brand. Just get 6 or so from your die maker.

The last time I broke one on my RCBS die I called RCBS and they sent me 6. Maybe you will get lucky with Lyman.

Cheap and free are my two favorite prices.
