thanks,

KeithB78,

No wife/gf to steal them from... LOL

The more I see others bench set-ups, the more ideas of improvements for mine come...I have to change the positioning (and height) of my Powder Measure, and probably should work up a stand for my scale like KeithB78's. I'm far from organized like some of ya'll are. LOL
I made my platform for the press raised (Pyramid influence) for the "Cheap" wood style of Dillon's strong mount. Then the other night, I was browsing other posts about reloading bench set-ups, and found Rembrandts convertible platform and was awestruck!
It took me 3hrs to load 150 pre-sized/primed 9mm, with checks for powder weighing. I don't trust the powder to drop right into the small case, so I was using the funnel to assure it went to the right place, awkward and slow, but sure.

Some very nice set-ups gents! I love looking at the details in each photo in hopes of finding something new I can "borrow" for my bench.

Rembrandt's set up is only a dream...but what a dream!

foxbat,
Wow, lots of room to spread out!! Nice!

I just added another light fixture over the bench which helped a bunch. I still need a bit more light on the right side of the 650.

VonFatman,

Just a suggestion if I may:

Have you tried hanging those fixtures perpendicular to your bench?

Rembrant, that heavy butcher block top stuff is the cats meow!! When economy of space is not such an issue, I plan to put something like that together! Did the rolling block tops cabinets come from Costco/ sams club?

redhawk41,
I had not thought of turning the fixtures. Easy to try! Thanks.

VonFatman - I think I counted 10 or 11 caliber changes for Dillon - way to go, man!

I usually hang the fixtures as you did, but in continuous rows along the benches, they give best most even light that way - I think I got about 30 in my basement/workshop.

Personally, in your case I would add one or two more on the right. I don't know your age, but I am 57 and a little bit of extra light is quite welcome!

One other suggestion to everyone - since most of us seem to be basement rats... painting the walls white makes incredible difference.

Foxbat,
I too have "mature" eyes...I'll be 50 in July! Agreed, I'll try one on the right of the bench. This past summer I got power installed around the bench and it made a huge difference in terms lighting options.

Two power outlets are above the bench.

Yes, I have to admit, I have complete invested in quick-changes for each of my calibers (straight wall calibers). I don't have a lot of other "distractions" such as cars, motorcycles, coin collections, party lifestyle etc.

So...my funds (funds I don't enjoy with my wife/best friend) get put into my bench and somewhat eclectic accumulation of guns.

Bob

..

I built my bench this weekend.
..ended up being 15' long...cant wait to get everything set up on it. I hope to have a powder/loading station, a sizing case prep area, and a gunsmith section.

Mach II Sailor,
Well...it just means we have "other" issues!

mullet,
WELCOME...That's a killer layout! Good work. I like the more narrow bench top.

hey mullet great job on the bench. 15' long is a good starting point, the more room to move around the better. started on re-doing a room in the basement for my reloading area. my bench will be horseshoe shaped, 6' x 10' x 6'. will post pictures when done.

hey can anyone identify the powder measure setup on foxbat's post. the one i'm curious on is the press furthest to the left. thanks...

3wide,
Welcome! I think the powder drop you refer to is a Redding...not sure of the specific model.
