C&R checks

I've had my C&R maybe 10 to 12 years now and I've forgotten what all they did as far as background check. Does anyone know what additional work they do besides the standard background check that is done for every gun purchase?

Depends on the state. Ny fingerprints, fbi check, sheriff check, local police chief check then you wait for a judge to approve it. Wait time up to a year. Oh need a safety course and three references and expensive
