husqvarna 1942 vapenfabriks (AKTIEBOLAC)

A family friend has given me this gun. I dont know anything about it and was wondering if anyone could help me out. I dont enen know what caliber it uses, its not stamped on the barrel. Thanks for any help you can give.

I'd have to have a picture or a very thorough description.
If it is a bolt action military rifle, it is PROBABLY a 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser.

ditto on the picture or a better description. Is it a rifle or pistol? If a pistol it could be a M40 Lahti in 9mm Para.
