S&W 6" fixed sight .357 Magnun
A friend has gone through all his references, and asked me to post the question here.
Has S&W ever made a 6" fixed sight .357 Magnum? I know several were done with 4" or less, maybe some 5"s? Cannot find any mention of any 6"s. Maybe a handful for some police dept.?

Sure, 581 and 681 came in 6"... no?
And wasn't the N-frame fixed sight also available in 6", what did they call that one... ummm, Model 520? Maybe I'm wrong, but it'll be interesting to see what develops here.

I have not seen or heard tell of a 6" fixed sight .357.
Doesn't say there aren't any out there, but they can't be common. The M520 was a single spec gun, supposedly made for NYSP but not delivered. |

Model 13 had 5". Or the 65, if you prefer stainless. And if you omit the 581, 681 and 518.

The S&W model 65 , 357 magnum , came in 3", 4" and 6" barrel length's and had fixed sights. The 3" and 4" were more popular but there were a few old school officers who always preferred the longer 6 " barrel.
Google S&W model 65 and check it out. Gary |
