Cheaper ammo - although that’s a pretty major benefit if you shoot much at all. Plinking ammo is cheaper. Good subsonic defensive ammo is cheaper. And under 200yds, the better BC of .300 subsonic is not very useful since all subs drop like a brick.
Shorter barrels - a 5” barrel on a .300 BLK takes a practical amount of performance out of your supersonic ammo; but the practical difference between a 5” and 10” 9mm is nothing.
