Priorities: A Photo Essay in Two Frames
My mother emailed me this one:
Too bad that our culture has developed into one that worships celebrity and discards actual heroes. I had first viewed this as political satire, but the more I look at it the more I find it is really a condemnation of our society as a whole. |

Except that Obama never ordered the flag to be flown at half mast for Whitney Houston...the governor of NJ did.

Some people will do anything to blame the President for anything. I'm no fan of the current administration, but it gets a little ridiculous seeing all these fake pictures with lying text posted all over the Internet. Spreading misinformation is no better than some of the current BS that the government pulls.
The White House never issued an order to lower the flags for Whitney Houston. |

While it does highlight a certain dissonance in our national psyche, it's a bit mean-spirited, and it appears one important underlying fact is incorrect.
