Load Increases

I'm reloading some .44 mags and I'm using CCI300 primers with 240 gr. Hornady XTP bullets (JHP) and Accurate #9 powder. After looking at several other loads using different bullets, I decided on a starting point of 19 gr. These loads seem to work pretty good. They seem fairly accurate and show no signs of high pressure or any other damage. Now I'd like to try increasing the load a bit.How much should I increase the powder each time? (1/10gr., 3/10 gr., 5/10gr.?)

When working up a load I generally go up either 1/2 a grain at a time until I

am within 1 grain of max. Then if I still want more I go up in 1/10 or 2/10

incriments until I get the velocity I want or am within 2/10 grain of max.

(that's as heavy as I will load most calibers).

YMMV

I use WC820, which is a military pulldown version of AA#9. I use 19 grains as well for my 240 grain .44 Mag loads.
I started a lot lower, like 16 or so, and I really like it at 19 grains. Burns good and consistant, mild recoil, accurate. Can shoot it all day.

Steve M gave some good advice for working up the load.

I use .2g increments without exception; I have observed minor charge changes go bad.
Not often, not never, either.
