Rainier Ballistics & Hodgdon
I have been using Rainier Ballistics 240 grain JHP (plated) for my .44 mag using Accurate #9. I would like to try some Hodgdon TiteGroup powder but I haven't been able to find any loading data for this combo. Anybody out there using this stuff or any Hodgdon powder with these bullets?

Actually, plated bullets are a bit wierd for load data. They have very soft lead and thin jackets making them not quite behave like a jacketted bullet, but not quite like lead either.
If Rainier's site doesn't have data, I look at every reloading manual I can find with that weight/powder combination with ANY type of bullet, find the smallest starting load, and start with that. |

When I emailed Rainier, they said that if I use JHP data, reduce the load by 10% and start there but they're supposed to be checking around to see if they can come up with something more specific for Hodgdon powder
