cva optima pistol question

So I bought my first muzzleloader a few months ago and I absolutely love it so I have an interest in buying one of the cva optima pistols but have a few questions. First off does anyone own one and how do you like it? Can you use two pellets of triple 7 or two pellets of white hots? Also what's a good scope for it? Handgun scope or red dot?

I have one. I get excellent results with two T7 pellets and TC Shockwave sabot bullets. I had a borrowed 4x pistol scope on it, which I gave back. It shoots well out to 100 yds with a scope. I'm debating getting a quality red dot scope for it since most deer I take are within 70 yards.

Do you use it for hunting only, as most inline shooters do?

Looking at only your screen name - you're buying the wrong gun!
