Ranger .22lr: Taking Great granddad’s target rifle at the range.
I haven’t taken it out in a long time partly because I forgot about it. I use my Mossberg 46m most of the time because the ranger is heavy and doesn’t have a very smooth bolt. On the other hand not one of my .22LRs can beat it for accuracy. So I took it out to my range and sighted it in then had some fun. It drives tacks at 30 yards. I was shooting 7.62x54r cases off of the target stand with no problem. At 100 yards I can shoot a good enough group to hit coke cans. It’s a great rife just not something you would want to drag around the woods.

If that's the ranger I think it is, you can fit it into a Marlin 80/780 stock...somewhat lighter & easier to carry...
the mags look like a 80/780...but take the time to double-check... Which Model number is on the barrel??
