Recommend me a 22Magnum Semi Auto Rifle
Could someone recommend a semi auto rifle that is chambered for 22Magnum,
my 10-22 isn't doing the job on groundhogs at 80 yards. Thanks, Rich |

Magnum Research and Volquartsen both make 10/22-style rifles in .22 Magnum.
Bear Creek Armory is offering .22 Magnum AR15-style rifles, and pistols.

I like my CMR 30, it shoots well and it's suppressor ready.
This is an old picture, I have made a few changes.

HK 300
HK 300 one of the best and most accurate semi-autos.
I also have a Savage A22 mag bedded in a Boyd's fancy walnut stock with a Jard 1 1/2 pound trigger. The stock HK 300 rifle is still more accurate. Last edited by wachtelhund1; May 20, 2022 at 09:51 PM. |

For current production, the savage A22 and magnum research rifles have already been mentioned. There is also the CZ 512. I have one. It's reliable with standard CCI or Winchester 40 grain ammunition. If you can get used to the spongey trigger, the CZ 512 is accurate enough within the limitations of .22 WMR ammunition. The CZ seems to be a reasonable compromise between quality and cost.
I know you didn't ask this, but I would also consider a rifle chambered for .22 hornet. It would provide better performance and accuracy and if noise is a factor, the hornet would not be much louder than a .22 WMR. The problem right now, of course, is finding .22 hornet brass or ammunition. |

Thank you
Thanks for taking the time to help. I think that the CZ 512 that Hammie recommended is exactly what I'm looking for. Now to find one.
Thanks again, Rich |
