I'm considering getting a Ruger Blackhawk. Would holsters designed for a Vaquero SA work with a Blackhawk, or would I need a Blackhawk specific holster?

Thanks

Howdy,

A holster built for a Vaquero shgould fit a Blackhawk just fine. The major difference between the two that actually is in the holster is the rear sight, but it shouldn't affect holster fit.

Ditto what Bill said. And I'll add because sometimes I might shoot Colts or Rugers that I have my holsters made to fit Ruger. That way if I switch to Colts, the smaller frame of the Colt just drops a little further in the holster.
