VERY RARE?? J. Stevens 807 LR .410 Shotgun
I have a J. Stevens .410 breakdown shotgun......but I can't find any information about it after hours of inquisitions. So.......here's what it is.
Top/Left of Barrel past breakdown hinge: BARREL AND LUG FORGED IN ONE PIECE Left Side Action: STEVENS THE FULL GAURANTEED SINGLE GUN * ( Hand stamp??? ) Right Side Action: J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A. ---MADE IN U.S.A.--- * There's an inverted "triangle" @ 3/8" above the "J" in J. Stevens. Another hand stamp?? Under Front Walnut Grip: (in 3 places....2 in metal) Either "807 LR" or "LR 807" * It is etched/engraved BOTH ways *** There are NO other numbers, letters, or manufactured markings ANYWHERE on the gun, with the exception of the butt-plate, which has the capital letter "S" STEVENS logo.

The 807 is probably nothing more than an assembly number.
Does it look anything like the gun shown in this thread? www.thefirearmsforum.com/showthread.php?t=76414 Does your gun appear to be about 100 years old? Pics would help figure this out. |

GREATLY Appreciated!
YES!!! The Shotgun looks IDENTICAL, other than the one in the photo is in better condition. How do I add photos to a post?? (asking for URL....but they are in folders, now internet) I would love to know ANY information you can give about this particular gun....all the way down to 1)Nickel plating? and 2) Paper shells, or non-gunpowder shells??? ANYTHING you can tell me would be great. Was in my wifes family, and was curious to it's entire history. Value isn't much important....as I doubt I'd sell it simply due to it's age and family "heirloom". Thanks again!! =)

To add a photo, click on the paper clip and choose browse. You can browse through the photos on your computer. Choose the one you want and choose upload. It will add it to your post. Mark

Photo upload problems.....=(
I receive a message telling me I can't upload due to "security token" something-or-other. Additional info : The overall length is appx. 41", and the barrel length is 26".(((The size, format, and other requirements for the photos are within parameters.)))
