I keep hearing good things about The Lee Collet Die
What kind of case run out can be expected when using these dies?
I love my Forster bushing bump dies, but hate paying for them. I am getting no more than .002" case run out when using Forster dies, with .0005-.001" being the norm. Are the Lee dies comparable? |

I read that James Calhoun rates them as a .000-.003 runout die.
http://www.jamescalhoon.com/collet.php But I know some world records have been set when they were in use including one at 1000 yards in 1993. Here's a thread to read where a guy talks about +/- .0005": http://shootersforum.com/showthread.htm?p=329645 Anyway, from what I've read, they may or may not be of the quality and repeatability you are looking for but they're hard to beat for the money. Heck, at that price, buy a collet die and give it a try! They work for me.

I was skeptical but for the price I figured it was worth a try - now its the only die I use for neck sizing! Some of the best groups I have fired were with Collet die loads. My Forster neck sizing is basically retired.
