I was comparing one to my 9mm and they look to be the same size.Could they be reloaded on 9mm dies and shell holder? I know you would less powder and smaller bullets. sj

9 MAK
The shellholder is the same but you need 9 MAK dies as it uses bigger bullets [ ON THE O.D. ] than the 9mm PARABELLUM.
[Remember, the 9 MAK is 380ACP with delusions of granduer ] |

Terry is right. The 9X18 uses different dies. It is possible to trim down 9mm Luger brass and resize it to work in your 9X18. The difference in bullet diameter is significant. .364" for the 9X18 compared to .355" for the Luger. Check out http://www.makarov.com they go into detail explaining how to make 9X18 brass out of 9mm Luger brass. It really is not that hard. I have done it and they work fine. The hardest thing so far is finding the odd diameter bullets locally, but I am looking at getting some Lasercast bullets. As far as loads, the data I have seen so far compares very close to the .380 ACP. Make sure you check any loads against a reliable source and work up from a starting load below max.
