CAV-15 (interesting take on polymer lower)
Thought some folks might find this interesting. The reviews seem to be positive and you get significant weight reduction plus strength since the butt stock is molded as part of the lower receiver.
http://www.gwacsarmory.com/ This one tips the scales at just under 6lbs. http://www.gwacsarmory.com/power-ser...-a4-fde-ar-15/ Best, Last edited by Ritz; January 14, 2014 at 09:03 AM. |

Cool. But I prefer the 6 position stock and am not into Zombie colors.
Still cool idea. Jim

Yeah, the gaudy colors I could do without. You can still get it in the usual black and "earth" colors though.
I thought I'd like the adjustable stock on my other AR, at first. My previous Colt Sporter had the standard A2 stock so I didn't know what to expect. Personally, I prefer the fixed stock....kinda digging the Magpul PRS (which I used for the first time a few days ago). A bit expensive, but built like the proverbial brick outhouse. Best, |

If you don't like the colors, they are still available in black. I've had a Cav Mk2 for about 5 years now with no problems. It weighs in right at 6 lbs as pictured:
