Orange targets that "jump around" . . .

Shooter's
You know those orange "self healing" targets that come in different shapes and jump around as you shoot them. I have the cube shaped one and it must take more than a 22 to make it jump around. So far it just sits there like a lump. Will have to try more fire power.

Live well, be safe.

Have you tried alternately opening and closing your eyes?

I have that one and three other orange targets. They all bounce around with any .22 I shoot them, pistol or rifle.

I've got one of the heavier cube ones and it'll barely move at all when hit with a .22 but hit with a .44 or .45 and it will fly!!

We have used these quite a bit at the property for anything and everything, both rifles and handguns. We have used the cube and the ball, and even the ball does not move that much when shot with .22, especially if you hit it center mass. We like to use the .22 shooting gallery (swinging plates) to see the .22 action.

My club won't allow use of targets with any metal parts which rules out most of the commercial "reactive" targets.

I bought one of the orange ball targets and fashioned a frame from PVC. The ball has a little eyelet; it hangs on a cord from the top of the frame, which slips into the fixed target stands on the pistol range.

Shoot the ball with a .22 and it will spin or bounce, depending on where you hit it. I take my teenage daughters and their friends to the range and they love shooting this thing.

Use a round one, they will roll around a bit when hit with the little rimfires
