Hungarian Mosin Nagant M44 firing pin and spring

I found a somewhat rare Hungarian M44 relatively cheap. I cleaned it and fired it and it seems like a pretty sound rifle. The problem is, the firing pin and spring were quite neglected and have a bit of corrosion. I have surfed the net for replacement parts, but no one seems to have any.

My son is a mechanic and suggested using emery cloth to work on the corrosion. I was thinking a gunsmith might be a better route. I am hesitant to keep enjoying the piece until i solve this issue. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.
