Mega deal for spare Pietta 1858 .36 cylinders

Cabela's is selling them for $20 a piece. That's right, they're on sale over 66% off!

Almost makes me want to buy a .36 cal NMA, but I've got my eyes set on a Pietta Buffalo .44

That would be pretty cool if I had an 1858 in .36 cal. Both of mine are .44's.

I know, my only .36 is a Pietta 1851 steel frame... that I don't like.

I have thought about .36 1858's, but I think they're just too big for the caliber. If they made a repro of the New Model Police, which was a medium frame 5 shot .36 caliber revolver, I'd be all over it.

Sadly the only 5 shot .36 cap and ball revolver that anybody makes is Uberti and their 1862 Pocket models.

Idk, maybe I'll jump on the .36 NMA revolvers if I find a used one for a low price.

You could get Grissy & Gunny .36.

Thanks for the heads up!

I normally prefer a '51 Navy but about ten years ago, I came by a new Pietta NMA .36. It's a great revolver and I don't find it cumbersome even though it's not sized like a true Remy Navy. It shoots very well with RB and I have never regretted getting it. YMMV
