A "new" SA Clone
I bought a well used 1873 SA clone today. It is not functioning the way I would like it to. It is marked DAKOTA .45 Colt, INTERCONTENENTAL ARMS, INC. AND MADE IN ITALY. The date code indiates it was made in 1966.
The probems with the revolver are: 1. Trigger sticks and does not engage the hammer notch every time 2. Firing Pin has dented the recoil plate 3. Cylinder locking bolt releases too soon and scratches the cylinder. I have some spare parts for a Colt 1873 and I believe they will work with a bit of fitting. I got the revolver for $50. No, it isn't hot. The barrel is 4-5/8" and is clean inside. Did this revolver come from EMF? Doug |

Skeeter Skelton reported no 2.
The only answer seems to be not to dryfire and hope that is enough. |
