anyone else shoot today? Smoke on the range with pics

Had a very enjoyable day at the range making some smoke this morning. Started out at 6am with a hot cup of coffee while loading up powder and supplies into the truck.

Perfect day for shooting! Nice brisk sunny morning, smell of leaves and a little bit of wind

Two shot groups for windage with the new Williams rear sight. Top 1st, bottom 2nd, middle 3rd

Single shot fired at the 50y line. 1" high (the other holes were already there)

My hunting buddy taking a shot at the 150y gong with my rifle.

Watching some metallic cartridge shooters with real talent show us up on the LongRange silhouette field (from inside the warm cab of my old farm truck)

Thanks

It's a VERY nice range, good people. Can anyone guess what range it is?

Unfortunately I couldn't get any of the Long range guys in the pictures, I parked a little ways down from them so as not to disturb the match with my loud ol truck but close enough to still see the hits with field glasses

BOOM!...1....2...PING!

Went to school. Re-inletted the trigger group (sporterized Mauser 98) which had to be done after acra-glass, then more acras-glass to cover gaps in bottom metal.

Afterward sanded a shotgun stock for a classmate. Raised the dents and then started sanding the forearm.

I wanted to port a shotgun barrel, but the U-Port jig sucks. The holes are at the wrong angle and because they are, the drill bits break. So far the other fellow broke five drills. If I port a barrel, it will be on a mill. That way you can ensure that the drill remains perpendicular to the barrel.

Where did the pond come from. It looks fake. It wasn't there in June.

Hehe, I thought it was a pond too, but it's a wall. Wait, did I just see a fish jump?
