small hands

I am interested in buying a pistol for IPSC Limited Division competition. My problem is that I have “very small” hands.

Please advice me of which model will best fit my small size hands .

I like The Edge model from STI but I can not comfortably reach the safety lock and the magazine release button. The grip is also a bit to wide. Is there something that can be done to remedy this problem and reduce de diameter of the grip?

If nothing can be done (for the Limited Standard division) then maybe within the Open Division models there might be a pistol that will fit my grip.

Thank you for your help.

The butt of those guns is just plastic. There are several gunsmiths who will grind one down to smaller size and contoured to fit the smaller hand. Follow up on some of the advertisements in Front Sight.

Otherwise, look at a CZ Standard.

I am shooting a Walther P99 in IDPA because the backstrap is interchangeable; I shoot it with the smallest one, and my husband uses the largest. I think you could use it in IPSC stock or limited 10; the quick action version has a trigger similar to a Glock, but I like it a little better.

Try CZ / EAA Witness 9x19.
