Tacticool Lever Action

Anyone have something that fits this definition? Saw a couple in Tulsa over the weekend that were entirely impractical and totally cool!

Naturally I kinda want one now...

I have 2. A Marlin 336 with ghost rings sights and a light and a Mossburg with a red dot and suppressor.

The Mossberg 464 SPX kinda fits the "tacticool" definition. Collapsible stock, rails, flat black.

I remember when Mossberg first rolled those out--I think they had some in 357 mag for a while--wish I had bought one.

The ones I saw in Tulsa were custom jobs, usually on a Marlin 336 base. That said .357 would ideal I would think.

Nah, they made some 10 years ago and still trying to get rid of them. (I couldn't resist.)

I agree that the Mossburg 464 is a hideous sight. But if you have grandkids ranging from diapers to teenagers, it's collapsible stock will accomodate all of the without need for a saw and new buttplates.

A 120 gr. cast bullet over 6 or 7 grains of universal or red dot is a hoot for elementary age kids.

A buddy has a .45-70 Marlin Guide Gun with a Midwest Industries forearm, a red dot sight & a tiger stripe camo paint job. It's a Remlin & he figgered he'd have some fun with it.

Just reading the thread title makes me want to puke a little.

I could live with one of these. I don't care for the big loop, but the rail and threaded barrel for a suppressor isn't bad.

@FAS1, I've read that article before, that is a really well done modern lever action. I would buy that. And this coming from someone who has a several vintage levers.

I wouldn't feel bad banging that around in the brush like I would a 60+ years or older lever.

I have a BLR also--it's much closer to being a glamorous Hollywood starlet than a techno tacticool lever. Even Browning advises you should seriously consider whether or not ever actually firing it. LOL

Saw this on Brownells Facebook page today. Looks like it's from an Instagram post.
