I don't have any strong desires at the moment, potentially a compact/subcompact 9mm. My next handgun purchase will most likely be the next good deal I come cross.

The short list I started the year with has one marked off a couple weeks ago. A Ruger LCP.
the remaining ont the list are, probable availability in todays crazy firearms world: 1. Ruger Charger. Don't really know why. Just looks like a lot of fun. Know of one @ LGS 2. Charter Arms Bulldog. Have wanted one from the get go. 3. Sig P6. Would like to have a Sig, don't want to spend $800 for a range toy. LGS has some. Besides, I gave up on a CZ SP01 because who knows when they will return. 4. Taurus 992 4" Stainless. I know, I know, but I still want one! 5. Ruger Bearcat Shopkeeper. List would have ended with four after the LCR was bought. But I saw this little gem on another TFL thread. Cutist little handgun I ever saw.

Well I just got the Glock 27, so will be getting a Glock 23 by middle of summer when I get more money. Already got $100 in paypal so slowly moving along..
The Taurus 992 is really cool, but I rather get a auto first, do not have one, Mark III is my next choice. |

Oh my, I almost forgot. A 22 single action revolver should be added to the short list. Although I'm in no hurry for that and will wait until the first good deal on one I come across... which I will buy regardless of what firearm it happens to be.

It's not #1 on the list, but it's on the short list. The beretta 92fs has been #1 on the list for a while but it got bumped down a notch when RIA came out with that 10mm.

Mine will be one of these in all likelihood.
But in actuality it ended up being this one......Different planet, but consistent form factor. Now the one above will likely be my next. Last edited by HKGuns; February 16, 2013 at 09:16 PM. |

Here's what I'd get if I somehow came into some unexpected money. They were all .45lc. This is a dream revolver for me

I think a 44 Magnum is in order for me. I like revolvers a lot lately.

My First handgun will be my next, so to speak.
Most likely a used Sig 232, because it will cost a good bit less than a new one, or won't be considered (FTF only: west TN). The option to 'carry' might not ever appeal to me. This is a primary reason why the .380 round controversy is not a factor. |

I have a .45ACP SIG P250 Compact on layaway that I'll probably pay off when I'm paid next week. Since I haven't finished paying for it, I suppose that will be my next handgun, but since it is already on order and partially paid for, I won't count it as my next purchase.
My next handgun or two will probably be one of the following: -CZ P01 or PCR. I love 9mm, but I'm also a big fan of .40S&W, I'd do the P06 if capacity wasn't so low (10 rounds, most .40s this size seem to have a 12 round capacity). -Taurus 405 -Taurus 445 (or a used 450 if I can find one) -Taurus 431 (5-shot, 3", K-frame sized .44spl, only available used) -.40S&W or .357SIG subcompact caliber x-change kit for the SIG 250 -SIG P229 or 239 in .40S&W. -S&W 396 Night Guard if I can find one at a price that doesn't require me to sell a kidney -3" S&W N-frame (probably 625, 629/29, 625/25, 657/57). |

What is YOUR next handgun?
Owned a gen2 glock for sometime now and just ordered a new CZ75 P-01 last weekend. Wanted another compact 9mm but wanted something with a hammer. Looked at Beretta and Sig but just loved the CZ in my hand. It was amazing.

Dan Wesson Havoc 9mm
Who owns one? I have tried to read reviews but can't find anyone who owns one. I'm ready to buy one but would like to hear from current owners. Way too expensive to buy before getting feedback.

Would love for the next purchase to be a LAR Grizzly in 45 Win Mag or a Wildey in same caliber but will more than likely be a Kimber Ultra CDP II. Love at first sight!

I am ordering the 460 Rowland conversion for a G21.

- Accuracy is very good, but I was grouping 4" low at 25'. This concerned me as the rear sight is not adjustable.Turns out this was due to the sight picture I was using (pumpkin on the pole). The proper sight picture is to cover the pumpkin with the white dot. But I must keep in mind this is not meant to be a target pistol. It is a combat handgun! - Ergonomically the full-size grip frame fits my hands perfectly. Which is good because it is a bit top heavy. Which also is good, because felt recoil seemed less than my Ruger SR9. A very comfortable pistol to shoot. - I have fired a variety of ammo (~250 rounds) including my reloads with zero problems. My own 200 gr Hornady XTP load is becoming my favorite. Conclusion: The P250 is a very simple, but well made pistol at a very good price. I like DAO sans safety as perfect HD handgun. Accurate, very easy to maintain and the frosting on the cake is the fact that I can convert it to a 9mm or .40 for around $250 each kit without FFL paperwork. I give it . Edit - I forgot to mention, that this was my first .45 Auto. The last time I fired one was 40 years ago when I was in the US Army. Last edited by DMZX; February 19, 2013 at 01:29 PM. |

I have a Springfield M1911-A1 loaded on order from Bud's guns. It is paid for but do not know when it will come in.
OTO. . .I was over at the LGS today and saw a Ruger .45 auto on the shelf and it looked smaller than the standard SR1911. I asked to see it and sure enough it was the Commander size. I noticed it last week and thought I would take another look. Seems they got in 7. I went ahead and bought it to go along with the full size SR1911. I will take it to the range Friday and see how it does. The slide to frame fit, if it really means so much, is tighter than the full size and the trigger is good. The slide is nowhere near as smooth as my DW Valor but I did not pay as much for it either. The salesman I talked to says they are getting the CMD size easier than the full size. Now I have one of each. Price was 699.99 for the gun and got a $35 veteran discount. Friday will be fun.
