Sticky rubber grips
You know, the ones that feel great at the range and make your smoke wagon soooo comfy to shoot. Well they are bad on a carry gun. I constantly piont out to my wife people that are carrying and the guys that have sticky rubber grips will always have issues with their shirt or cover garment sticking to the grip when they move. They print fairly well when this happens. SIG checkered plastic grips are good and the CZ checkered grips are just as nice and do not stick to your clothes, The Glock also gives good flow of the cover garment and gives a good grip aswell.
Just a tip or hint I would like to share..... |

I like my hard plastic CZ grips a lot better than the rubber ones. Like you said they stick to clothes too much.

I noticed this most with my Smith 64. It came with the small wooden grips, so I bought a set of Hogues for it. They are GREAT for the range and open carry, but not so much for CC because they grab onto the shirt covering the gun, eventually riding up. Not to mention feeling the butt of the gun tugging at my shirt if I move certain directions. So right now every now and then I switch between the well worn-in wood grips and the Hogues depending on how I'm feeling and what I know I'm going to be using the gun for.

Try large-diameter heat-shrink tube. You can find it at any good electronics supply house (NOT Radio Shack). It's not sticky at all and doesn't cling to clothing. It provides a little cushion and the extra grip you need for a carry piece. I have a piece on most of my guns and love it.

I have smooth wood on my carry gun. For a little extra grip, I use the Pierce 1911 rubber finger grove insert under the wood.
