Model 13-2 date of Manufacture?

Hi, I'm new to these forums so please bear with me if I make mistakes.
I have a Model 13-2 , 357 Mag, 4 inch barrel, serial #4D88XXX. Can someone tell me when it was made?

I made a search of this thread but couldn't find anything don't know if there's another way or place to search or not.

TIA

Mel

I believe it is a .32 Hand Ejector Model of 1903, 5th Change.
Serial numbers ran from 102501 in 1910 to 263000 in 1917.

Hi Jim, and whomever else may be able to help.

I'm looking for additional information on my revolver:

Smith & Wesson
38 Special

Serial Number 124### (six digits)
Number on frame, with cylinder open 635## (five digits)

There are no letters in any of the number sequences on the gun.
There is a S&W logo stamped into the body plate on the right side of the gun.
There are no S&W markings or emblems on the wood grips.
There are Four (4) screws holding the body plate to the frame.

Thank you for any information you may be able to share.

Regards,
Brian

Request for Info

Hi folks... good to be here. This is my first post on this forum so I want to start out right by thanking those of you who provide help and info.
I just received my first S&W (it was left to me). It's the 10th in my small, but growing collection, and my first S&W.

Its a .357 model 681; serial no. ADP0896

I was hoping someone might be able to tell me when it was manufactured. It does not appear to have been fired (or if it was, it was very little and meticulously cleaned/maintained).

I know laytonj1 mentions in the beginning of this thread about a book entitled "The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" which I will certainly look into getting at some future point, but for now, being this is the first S&W added to my collection, I'm just hoping to date it.
I would like to thank laytonj1 and so many others in advance for help so many of us to date our firearms.

Any info regarding date of manufacture and value is greatly appreciated.

Brian

It's a "B". BPW = early 1994.
2K42xxx = 1971.
