I think there is a difference between honest wear and peeling paint.
The first is no problem. I would just strip the paint and leave the Aluminum bare. If it is polished up, and waxed, or treated with anti corrosive oil, it will stay looking nice indefinitely. I have polished Aluminum bicycle parts like crank arms, and they still look nice years later. Best, Rick |
