Shoot Extreme - West Chester, Ohio

Hey all.

Decided to take a break from lurking around and post something.

There is a new place open in West Chester, Ohio called Shoot Extreme.

They have a "Hogan's Alley" type shoot house using reactive targets and Sim-unitions.

I've been through there a few times, and it's pretty fun. The "zombie" theme is a little cheesy, but it's still put together really well.

Gist of it is, you go through a short safety briefing and have a range safety officer follow you to guide you in case you get turned around. You are given 10 rounds in either 2 or 3 mags depending on the handgun you choose, and there are 16 targets, two of which require a double-tap. So a perfect run will leave you with 2 extra rounds. Their are zombie and friendly targets, sometimes in close proximity to each other, and the targets are only valid for 3 seconds before they fall down on their own.

Like I said, it's a pretty fun way to get some practice in truly 3-dimensional situations. You will have to clear doorways, hallways, T intersections, corners, windows, all sorts of stuff.

If you've been, what are your thoughts on it?
If you aren't in the area, would you go to something like this if you had something similar around?

Looks interesting - and I like shooting zombies I'm not too far away, up in central Ohio. I may have to make a small road trip...

It's 100x more enjoyable when you have some friends to compete against. I would rather go to a normal range if I were by myself, but with a group, it's a blast.
