"light" geese

Have returned to the Midwest. The local "goose blaster" went past my house on the way to the 60 acres of waterfowl swamp down the road a ways. He may be getting ready to set up soon.

In the night?

"light geese"==snows and blues

They do occasionally shoot when I can see the muzzle flashes from my house if that's what you mean.

It shows on my screen that you posted at 7:16pm and you said he was going out that's why I asked in the night?

I suspect they were trying to pump the water from their flooded pit blind in preparation for a morning hunt.
