Sig P365 below $499?

About to buy a Sig p365. Clearly Sig is controlling the price, but any source for anything cheaper with free shipping?

Thanks!

$499 seems to be the common street price at most locales down form the list of $599. Academy has the best price for the 12 round mags

I’ve seen 365s for sale in my area for $479.00. Not much of a discount. They are not selling as fast as they used to.i am biding my time.

At my local shops that are selling for $499.00. Now that the hype is over, they always have plenty in stock. Now that buyers can actually hold and handle one, and learn from other owners that it is important that the gun actually fits their hand.
At my club we put a thousand rounds down range. It is very easy to ride the slide on these guns. The space between the and Receiver is very narrow. No problem for a person with a small hand. Others need to check to be sure. I have a large hand and rode the slide. I would never be able to use a glove when shooting this gun other than one handed shooting.
I suspect the price will eventually go down to around $399. That high, because it does come with night sights.
I also think the hype of a large round count in a micro 9mm is not any game changer for most avid shooters of the Micro pistols. In fact, I do not think any manufacturers will jump on that band wagon. To those that do think so, and do not want to look at other options or shoot other guns in the same class, then the 365 is for them. Provided the gun actually has a good fit for their hand.

I have been seeing them online for less than $450. I found one locally that was LNIB for $400 and one today that is NIB for $430.

Considering the crash in price of the CM9/PM9, PPS, Nano, and Shield, I think anyone can see what the P365 has done to the market.

I'm not seeing anything below 499 on gun.deals

I'm waiting for them to come with the 12 round mags then I will jump. My FIL bought one and I really liked the feeling and size of the gun. Last week I know PSA had them for $475 "on sale".

Central OK. I saw these on a fairly active local gun forum where I do most of my gun dealing.

I'm not in the market for one myself but I told someone I know about the $400 gun and he bought it immediately.

Doing a Google Search this morning I found

Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore: $469.99 + Free Shipping
Law Enforcement Only

https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperst...ed-pistol-(le)

There were a few like Atlantic Tactical that were selling P365's for $448.99 but they were for LEO, Firemen etc etc..

https://www.atlantictactical.com/sig...ts-365-9-bxr3/

Found none as low as $430.00 and besides LEO all were still holding firm at $499.99.
Though all had P365's in stock.

GunBroker had no P365's for less than $499.99
https://www.gunbroker.com/semi-auto-...rds=sig%20p365
WELL...
There was this one for $489.99
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/807947580

SO....
If anyone knows of a P365 at less than $499.99 that is available to the general public please post and pass it on.
Other than that we are all aware of special pricing for Law Enforcement, etc.

If you have a Cabela's or Bass Pro you can get discounted gift cards in the 10% to 15% off range. Example: $100 for $90. You then can use those to purchase the P365.

Raise has gift cards for 10% off.

https://www.raise.com/buy-cabela-s-g...=PPkX79%2Fc*b0

You can then get a P365 for $450 + tax. Plus if you have their loyalty card thing you get 2% in rewards which would be another $10. So you can get free box of ammo added to the deal.

MSRP is suggested only and law only protects where MSRP is always too high so that "sales" are used to move the product. Ie, you can't list a high MSRP only to advertise false "sales" to get people to think they are purchasing a deal.

Sig can legally set a floor and a ceiling on price, but vertical similarity between all sellers (especially those saying XXX off = $499, just like everyone else is selling) could be a legal issue.

So this one is more than a little weird. I don't recall a firearm haven't such price parity across all sellers...ever.

MSRP isn't the same as MAP.

Yes, but the law is on MSRP.

As in you see some sites saying 100 off MSRP on the P365 to equal 499.

That's really weird.

Example,

equals the same everywhere else.

SIG can choose to not distribute to a retailer that repeatedly violates MAP, or tell distributors to not ship there. To my knowledge there is no law forcing SIG to ship to a given retailer. Some manufacturers seem to never enforce MAP, whereas FFLs I've talked to have said other manufacturers are much more particular. I believe that over the, "It's a conspiracy", option. That or the retailers don't think they need to go lower than that as of yet and would rather hold the product than sell it for less. Time will tell.

I'd buy a second one at that price

Sig can set advertised pricing only (commonly referred to as MAP pricing). They cannot set pricing if you walk into a store, call on the phone, or in the "cart" when checking out online. If they did, that would be price fixing which is illegal.

So, if you're searching for a better price, call around.

Browning does that as well. If a commercial seller wants to sell below their suggested retail price, you will see it listed as "POR"

Is all this procrastinating over someone saving $50 on the price of a great gun? Don't go to dinner one night and run out and pick one up. Paying a few dollars more stretched over a period of years is silly.

If you like the color great. I'd you don't like the color don't get it. Seems simple enough.
