Small Pistol Primers

I'm in the market for some primers for my 9mm. I've seen several descriptions for small pistol primers, such as : #1-1/2, #5-1/2, #100, #200 and #500. I've used the #500 small pistol primers in the past. Is it ok to use the others? What's the differences?
Thanks.

Each manufacturer has their own numbers. As long as it says small pistol primer on the box you are good to go. I have used just about every manufacturer and they all work!!

Outstanding. I'll print the chart for future use. Thanks to you both!

Mdemetz,

That shotshell primer crossreference seems questionable to me. REM97=Win209=CCI109? And what about the REM57/CCI157?

Have primer numbers changed?

Thanks,

TB
