Uberti Cartridge Conversions
What is the maximum load that can be used in Uberti's 1851 cartridge conversoin? Should I stick to black powder and cowboy loads?

I think I would stick to the latter. I use handloaded 148 gr wadcutters seated flush on 2.8 grs of Bullseye in my Uberti Richards Mason and MWNN revolvers and they are fun to shoot. To me those guns are obviously not strong enough for full house loads particularly as a steady diet. The mfg. says "cowboy loads only" so why push it? If you like ++P type loads ( and I do) buy a Ruger BH or a good used Dan Wesson. They can eat those loads all day every day.
