.357 Magnum
While not my favorite, it is high on my list of handgun cartridges. I am down to only three right now; S&W686, S&W66, and Ruger Blackhawk. I gave my Dan Wesson Model 15 to my son for his birthday last summer. I am thinking that I need to replace it with another.
S&W 66 Ruger Blackhawk My favorite is 45ACP. |

I do!! Especially from my first handgun and favorite to shoot--the Ruger GP100. It's heft keeps the recoil very manageable and it's quick to return to target. It's built like a tank and is my primary home defense weapon. In the dark of night I figure if the bullet misses, the fireball will scare the crap out of any BG. Fits my hand well, beautiful workmanship, never fails to fire.

Had a Ruger Security Six back in the old days sold it, now wish I hadn't. Now have a S&W 686 Plus in both 6 inch and 3 inch. Plan on the 3 inch to be my main CCW.

My overall favorite
The 357 is my favorite of all handgun rounds. From mild 38 equivalent to over 1000lbs of energy its a wonderful round with little recoil. I load 110 grains up to 250 grain bullets and it can really do wonders for being such a comparatively small round. Rabbits, Coyotes, Boar, Black bear, Deer and even a decent size Moose have fallen to my blackhawk. I'll never be without one. I have 44s, 454s, 475s and 500s at my disposal and i grab the 357 more than the others still.
