I don't know, but I really doubt *anything* made commercially from cast iron comes from America anymore.

As far as I know Lee is made in the US. I'm not sure about any of their plastic stuff.

Yes, it is, as is most all their stuff I've ever bought from them. None of it has the "made in this foreign land" stickers on it.

"...trying to decide on a 550 or the Lee..." How much money do you want to spend? How much ammo do you want to load at one time? Decide that then buy the Dillon. Their warrantee is better.

If you need to load 50-200 rounds at a time to provide for your shoot habit or if you shoot a low to medium level of rounds for several firearms, then the Lee Classic Turret is for you.

If you shoot a small ton of a single kind of ammo, then a progressive is for you. I own a Hornady LnL AP. Used to own a Dillon 550. If the Lee Classic Turret had been around when I started loading, I probably would never have bought either progressive. I've shot IPSC, IDPSA, High Power Rifle and the occasional 3-gun match in the past.

Just something to think about. Every press mentioned in this post loads good ammo. All are reasonably fun to load on.

Regards,

Dave
