AIM Sports Tactical Scopes?
Hello all! While I am a long-time hunter and poster on TFL, I am just getting into the AR world. I recently aquired an AR10 type - DPMS LR308T (tactical model) and am looking to put more of a tactical scope on it which I don't know much about. AIM Sports seems to have some with rings and bases for around $100 -are they junk? Most of my hunting rifles sport Weaver or Bushnell scopes (mostly 3x9 and 4x as I am old fashioned that way - lol). This will mostly be a paper-puncher/HD gun with some occasional hunting. I was hoping to outfit it for under $200.

I wouldn't even think about putting one of those on an AR-10. My son has the same rifle- and the recoil, especially with the BCG slamming back and forth- will beat the reticle out of a cheap scope. You can get something serviceable IMO for about $200, like this: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/950...ProductFinding But, you didn't say what you plan on doing with the rifle. Might consider putting some sights on it until you can afford a decent optic.
