Powder for 7 mag
I've been reloading this rifle for a year now with imr 4831 and it's been a tack driver. Can't find any now but was going through my powders and found 2 lbs of h4831 sc which I have loaded up quite a few for ladder tests. I also found a full pound of H1000 which I'm not sure of why I bought it. I try to load 150 grain Nbts for deer around here and 160 grain Sierra hot cor for bigger game. So far I've only used reloader 22 on 160-175 and was wondering if the h1000 was a good magnum powder. I'm still trying to figure out why I bought it and for what caliber but it's never been opened.

It'll work in 7mm Rem Mag but also great in .243.

I may have bought it for a 243 I one had but twist was wrong for deer sized bullets and would only handle varmit bullets. I researched my shooting log and found h4350 was all I had used so that must me why I bought it. Nice to know I have another powder to work with.

Powder Valley has imr4831 right now. I have never had trouble finding it, even locally.

H1000 is a good powder for overbore magnums with heavy for caliber bullets. It was specified for the 300 Win Mag Mk248 Mod1 load pushing a 220 SMK. You should be able to get very good accuracy with 175gr pills in your 7mm Rem Mag.
