Real or imitation Hi-cap mags?
I just purchased a hicap mag for an EAA Witness in 9mm. How can I tell if the mag is really factory or if it is an imitation?
Thanks |

If it works it's a real one. If it doesn't work it's an imitation.

No experience with EAA...got another EAA mag of any capacity that you can compare it to? Any logo's or identification marks anywhere on the mag?

The mags have no markings to speak of.
EAA says they do not mark mags. They pull off the trafalgio (sp?) base plate and put on a plain one. At gunshows the real mags go for $60.00. I paid $25.00 over the internet. Should have known better. Of the four I just purchased, three seem to function and one will not hold the slide back. Oh well. Beware! Bill |
