what would cause this on PT-22
[IMG][/IMG] [/IMG]bought my PT-22 brand new, i have shot about 200 or so rounds thru it, it shoots fine no problems, but it is mushrooming on the slide, i have shot just blazer 22 thur it. I called taurus about it and they are sending me a new slide stop, could that couse it. the slide stop is not broke.they did tell me i could send it in, i have had this gun for 9 mounths they offered to sell me a shipping tag for $60 but i have to pay the shipping eather way there, thanks

It appears the front edge of the slide was not machined properly and has peened the frame. I would remove the slide and use a file to make the right front corner look like the left front corner.

it has done it on the left side, just not as bad. it does seem they left the slide a little to long, i can see the hard marks on the slide. if i take the slide down a bit that would, void the warranty i think, has anyone seen this before? thanks

I'd take care of it myself - after all, what's the difference between a voided warranty & a useless one ?
